The Institute for Medical Education (IML) supervises project theses, Master theses, medical dissertations and PhD theses of students of medicine as well as other subject areas.

Media Master theses and media dissertations constitute a specific type of thesis, and are supervised by the Department for Education and Media (AUM) together with lecturers from the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern.
